About Frugal Gastronomy

Frugal Gastronomy started as a recipe site for people who want to eat well without spending like it. The idea behind it is simple: good food is a matter of technique and timing far more than it is a matter of budget, and the gap between a restaurant plate and a weeknight one is smaller than most people think.

This shop is the other half of that. The shirts are for the people who read the recipes: the ones who plan Taco Tuesday properly, who think a burger is worth doing well, and who would rather make the cake than buy it. Every design is our own.

How your order is made. Each shirt is printed on demand, individually, after you order it. Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting to be thrown away, which is how a printed tee stays at $25. It also means your order takes a few days to produce before it ships, and our returns policy works differently from a shop selling off the shelf. Both are explained in full on our shipping and returns pages.
